About SparkChat

Social media has become more media and less social. When I open up Facebook and Instagram, I don’t see any of my friends on there anymore - it’s one third ads, one third content from strangers, and one third AI slop. My friends are no longer on social media - I either meet up with them IRL or catch up with them in group chats.

SparkChat is the social group chat app that actually helps you actually hang out with your friends. My college group chat kept a monthly dinner going for a decade, and we still spend two weeks every month going back and forth on finding a time and a restaurant.

SparkChat fixes that. It uses AI and our group's social memory to find the best time and place for us to meet, based on everyone's schedules, locations, and food preferences. Then it books the reservation and adds it to our calendars.

After a decade of apps built to keep us on our phones, I hope SparkChat helps us touch grass and see our friends more.
