8-Ball in the group chat
The GamePigeon table, played at your own pace. Aim, pull, release; the balls roll the same way on every phone because both sides run the same physics.
How 8-Ball plays
- Two seats. The break is racked blind, then you alternate shots: drag to aim, pull back for power, release.
- Solids and stripes are assigned on the first pocketed ball, the way the real rules work.
- Scratches respot the cue ball at the kitchen spot; the eight ball has to go last.
How it ends. Pocket your group and then the eight ball to win. Sinking the eight early loses on the spot.

Questions about 8-Ball
Is the physics real?
Yes. Fixed-timestep 2D simulation with friction, elastic ball-to-ball collisions, cushion bounce, and six pocket captures. The same code runs on the server and on your phone, so a shot never looks different to your opponent.
Do we need to be online at the same time?
No. Every SparkChat game is turn-based and asynchronous. The board sits in the group chat; you make your move when you open the chat, and everyone else sees it land there.
Where does the game live?
Inside the group chat as a live card. Tap it to open the board, play, and close it. The card updates for everyone the moment a move lands, and the finished game stays in the chat as a keepsake.
