Checkers with the real rules
Captures are forced, multi-jumps ride one move, kings step in every diagonal direction. No house rules.
How Checkers plays
- Men move one square diagonally forward and capture by jumping.
- When any capture exists, only capture moves are legal, and a jump chain has to be played to the end.
- Reach the back rank to crown a king; kings move and capture in all four diagonals.
How it ends. A player who cannot move loses. Locked endgames resolve by piece count after 200 plies.

Questions about Checkers
Are kings flying kings?
No. Kings move one square at a time, the English draughts way, not the international long-range way.
Do we need to be online at the same time?
No. Every SparkChat game is turn-based and asynchronous. The board sits in the group chat; you make your move when you open the chat, and everyone else sees it land there.
Where does the game live?
Inside the group chat as a live card. Tap it to open the board, play, and close it. The card updates for everyone the moment a move lands, and the finished game stays in the chat as a keepsake.
