Othello, one flip at a time
The standard center setup and the standard rules. Place to flip, or pass only when you truly cannot.
How Reversi plays
- Place a disc so it brackets at least one line of your opponent’s discs; they flip to your color.
- If you have no flipping move you pass; two passes in a row end the game.
- The board scores by disc count.
How it ends. Most discs when the board locks or both players pass.

Questions about Reversi
Can I pass whenever I want?
No. A pass is only legal when you have no move that flips a disc, which is how the real game works.
Do we need to be online at the same time?
No. Every SparkChat game is turn-based and asynchronous. The board sits in the group chat; you make your move when you open the chat, and everyone else sees it land there.
Where does the game live?
Inside the group chat as a live card. Tap it to open the board, play, and close it. The card updates for everyone the moment a move lands, and the finished game stays in the chat as a keepsake.
