How the letter works
- Write a letter with a title and body, or paste a link and fetch the article as a clipping.
- Everyone reads at their own pace; first-read receipts show who has finished.
- Notes attach to a highlighted passage and show up for the whole group.

Can I read an article this way without the app?
The reader tool on this site cleans any article link into the same typeset view. Margin notes need the group chat.
Where does a widget live?
In the group chat, as a live card everyone can tap, and on the group’s board when someone pins it. Both surfaces show the same object; a change on one lands on the other instantly.
Does everyone in the group need the app?
To use the widget in the chat, yes. Several widgets also have a browser version on this site that works with no account, linked from this page when one exists.
